WhatsApp finally gets the message drafts feature, but the drafts don't sync across devices
WhatsApp has finally announced the Message Drafts feature for its users, which should remind them about the message they started typing but did not send for whatever reason.
starting a reply to a message and getting distracted… we know what that’s like 😵💫

which is why we’re introducing drafts! when you start a message and don’t finish it, you’ll see a draft indicator on the chat so you remember to hit send
The way this Message Drafts feature works is when you have typed a message but don't send it, you'll see a "Draft" indicator in green at the beginning of a message in the chats list. That chat will also move to the top of the chats list, so you know there's a message you didn't send.
We tried this feature on our devices in India and found that it doesn't work with companion devices, meaning the drafts don't sync across the devices (and web). You get that with Telegram, which allows its users to start typing a message on one device and send it from another. We find it convenient and would like WhatsApp to do the same by adding support for companion devices.
