Apple Intelligence arrives in the EU in April, will support more languages in more places too

Today Apple has officially announced the next phase of its rollout of AI features under the Apple Intelligence umbrella. In April, the company will release iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4, just as rumored. With these versions, the EU will finally get access to Apple Intelligence features for the first time.

It's been a long time coming, but there isn't so much left to wait now. Apple Intelligence will also be available in more languages, including French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (simplified), and localized English for Singapore and India.

The new languages will be accessible "in nearly all regions around the world", Apple says. Apple Intelligence will also arrive for the Apple Vision Pro, for starters in US English only, "helping users communicate, collaborate, and express themselves in entirely new ways".

Apple says it will continue to expand the Apple Intelligence feature set "in the coming months", "including more capabilities for Siri". This seems like an admission that the AI-infused Siri will not be released in April with iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4, just as rumored a few days ago.
