MediaTek announces Dimensity 7400 and 7400X chipsets

MediaTek's latest chipsets continue the trend of marginal overhauls over their predecessors. The brand-new Dimensity 7400 and 7400X are near carbon copies of last year’s Dimensity 7300 and 7300X with the major change being a 100 MHz overclock on the 4x Cortex-A78 performance cores which now work at up to 2.6GHz.
The CPU also employs 2x Cortex-A55 efficiency units clocked at 2.0 GHz. Like last year the 7400X variant supports dual displays and will make its debut on upcoming flip foldable devices.
The new Dimensity 7000 series chips are fabbed on TSMC’s 4nm process and are paired with the same Arm Mali-G615 GPU and support for LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. MediaTek also added its Adaptive Gaming Technology 3.0 which balances performance for optimal battery life.
MediaTek's Network Observation System (NOS) enables precise 5G/Wi-Fi switching and utilizing advanced network prediction. In terms of connectivity, you get a 5G modem with 3CC carrier aggregation, tri-band Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 support. MediaTek also added its Imagiq 950 ISP which supports 12-bit HDR and up to 200MP sensors.
MediaTek confirmed the first batch of Dimensity 7400 series phones will launch in Q1 2025.

Carbon Copies.. Oh no... I know its hard to make chips and new processing nm Or mix. But I'd rather they make new chips like mixing different Cortex. Its impossible sometimes but a better idea than rebrands.
