Samsung readies One UI 7 beta program for Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6

Vlad, 26 February 2025

We've been waiting for One UI 7 to roll out to older Samsung devices for months now, and yet it still hasn't happened. The beta program has been in effect for the S24 family for a while now, and it looks like Samsung is getting ready to expand it to the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6.

According to a tipster over on X, the first One UI 7 beta build for these two foldables has been spotted on Samsung test servers in Europe and India.

This means it might still take quite a long time for stable release to come out, especially if the foldables get a bunch of beta builds starting in the next few days.

Samsung hasn't officially announced any rollout timeline for One UI 7 so far, and so we can only speculate unfortunately. Of course, in the end the wait will be worth it, considering what a massive overhaul One UI 7 is compared to previous versions. We just wish it didn't take this long, especially since Samsung used to be the best at rolling out major Android updates for dozens of devices in previous years. Now it's gone from best to among the worst, and it's definitely not a good look.
