HTC Wildfire E5 Plus debuts with 6.75" display and 50MP camera

We get yet another HTC phone today, even if it's the product of an ODM rather than the Taiwanese company itself. The Wildfire E5 Plus offers entry level specs, but at least a modern design.

The phone is built around a 6.75-inch phone with 90Hz refresh rate and 720p+ resolution, likely an IPS LCD panel, even though it's not specifically mentioned. A Unisoc T606 chip ticks under the hood paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The latter can be expanded via the available microSD card slot. It's perhaps important to note that the chip doesn't have a 5G-capable modem.

On the back, the Wildfire E5 Plus houses a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor, while a 16MP selfie camera sits in the teardrop-like notch on the front.

The hardware draws power from a 5,000 mAh battery with no info on the charging rate. The handset runs on Android 14 out of the box.

The Wildfire E5 Plus debuts in Vietnam first, priced at VND 2,379,000 (~$93). No info on the potential global rollout, but we wouldn't count on it.
