First spec details for the Poco F7 and Redmi Turbo 4 leak

Vlad, 13 August 2024

Today the first specs for the upcoming Poco F7 have been outed in China, though not directly. A leakster over on Weibo shared some details about the Redmi Turbo 4, which should be launched in China only and then rebranded for international markets as the Poco F7. We say that because the Poco F6 was a rebranded Redmi Turbo 3.

So, the Poco F7 (and Redmi Turbo 4) should have a "super large battery" (we assume this means at least 5,500 mAh), and a "1.5K" flat screen, as well as a plastic frame. The Redmi Turbo 4's model number is allegedly 2412DRT0AC, while the Poco F7 should be 2412DPC0AG for global markets, and 2412DPC0AI for India.

While "2412" in that does reference December 2024, note that Xiaomi and its sub-brands don't always stick to launching new devices in the exact month implied by their model numbers. The Poco F6 was announced in May, and its successor will probably be unveiled around the same time next year.

The aforementioned Chinese leakster speculates that the Redmi Turbo 4 could be equipped with the Dimensity 8400 or a "downgraded" (we assume this to mean underclocked) Dimensity 9300 chipset, but this is just speculation, please keep that in mind. The Poco F6 uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, for what it's worth.

I think Poco will take its old step of using Snapdragon 7s series (possibly 7s gen 4) because the F6 version was a complete failure

Even if it comes with a 7+ chip, if it has an audio jack, it'd sell well. There's so little option for anyone wanting one. SD cards are slow, but wired audio is still way better. BT adapters for IEMs don't really offer the qualit...
