The Xiaomi Mix Flip is launching globally later this month, Lei Jun confirms
The Xiaomi Mix Flip was announced in July and a week after that, a country manager mentioned that the foldable is slated for a global launch. Now there is confirmation of that straight from the top.
CEO Lei Jun posted on X that the Mix Flip will become available globally starting in September. He didn’t give an exact date, but there isn’t much left of the month, so we won’t have to wait more than a week or two.
The post is a response to a poll that Lei Jun posted a few days after the Mix launch. The results from that poll were overwhelmingly positive with nearly 80% of voters being excited to have the Mix Flip available in their region.
Fans around the world are excited for the Mix Flip
There are no confirmed details on the price just yet, but we heard that it will be €1,300 in Central and Eastern Europe ($1,400 or so). Of course, that is based on what a regional manager said back in July, so plans may have changed.
Lei Jun shared some details on what it took to build the company's first flip foldable:
When we started the #XiaomiMIXFlip project, we set out to create a foldable that could match the performance of a flat screen flagship. Years of hard work and hundreds of design iterations finally brought us a Xiaomi MIX Flip that we're pleased to present to the world. As our first flip phone, it represents a major milestone in the evolution of flip-style foldable devices. We're confident that the MIX Flip will meet the high expectations of our global Xiaomi Fans!

PS. Lei Jun only ever mentioned the Mix Flip, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is probably staying in China.
