Redmi to bring Turbo 4 with a massive battery

Yordan, 31 December 2024

The Redmi brand is preparing to launch the Turbo 4 smartphone on the second day of the new year. The new device was confirmed to have a massive 6,550 mAh battery – the biggest cell Xiaomi has ever used in any smartphone ever.

The phone will also feature IP68 and IP69 certifications, and we saw in an early unboxing that it has dual LED ring lights around the camera lenses on the back.

The 6,550 mAh cell is not new per se – it is a Si/Ca dual-cell solution, also used in the Redmi K80 that was launched five weeks ago.

Nevertheless, it remains a massive technological advance in battery capacity, and the brand promised a five-year warranty or 1,600 full charging cycles of the cell for all early bird adopters.

A local influencer also unboxed the device on Chinese TikTok (Douyin). She handled the device and revealed the unobtrusive design of the handset, its clean edges and the 2.5D screen.

Xiaomi is expected to bring the Redmi Turbo 4 as Poco X7 Pro on the international scene on January 9 at a big event in India.
