OnePlus Open 2 to be a big upgrade over its predecessor, expected this spring

Two prominent Chinese tipsters on Weibo shared some spicy information about the upcoming OnePlus Open 2 - a successor to the original OnePlus Open and likely a rebrand of the Oppo Find N5 for the global market.

It looks like OnePlus and Oppo skipped the 2024 release time frame, but likely for a good reason. According to the rumors, the foldable will feature a new, more durable, industrial design featuring titanium and will likely be the thinnest foldable on the market, beating the Honor Magic V3.

But there will be more than just design improvements. The report claims the device will feature an improved triple-camera Hasselblad system, Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, around 6,000 mAh battery, wireless charging and satellite communication support. Pretty much in line with what we've heard so far.

Lastly, one tipster believes the Oppo Find N5 will be introduced in China this February, while the OnePlus Open 2's global release is scheduled between March and June, right before Samsung and Google's foldables releases.
