Sony begins seeding Android 5.1 to Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3 series

Sony began seeding Android 5.1 Lollipop to the Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3 series of devices. Sony Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact, and Xperia Z Ultra are next in line for the firmware update.

From today forward, Android 5.1 will begin making its way to Sony Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia Z2, and Xperia Z2 Tablet. As expected, timing and exact availability of the update will vary depending on the devices’ market and wireless carrier.

Android 5.1 will bring a host of goodies to Sony’s tablets and smartphones. They include camera improvements, enhanced enterprise support, better SmartWear integration, and more customization options.

hello, since i upgraded my xperia z1 to android 5.0.1 my radio stopped working, any advise? i'm waiting now for the new upgrade 5.1 to see if the problem will be fixed.

Does anyone know what happens if I use flashtool? If my phone was locked to a particular carrier, then I unlocked it, and after that I use flashtool with an official ftf image to upgrade to 5.1.1... will it return to its previous locked state? Or wil...
