Android Marshmallow now available for the Galaxy S5 LTE-A

Kaloyan, 16 May, 2016

Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A model for South Korea was released in South Korea a few months after the Galaxy S5 premiere. It comes with a more powerful Snapdragon 805 chipset and faster LTE connectivity. The G906 (LTE-A) model is exclusive to South Korea, while the G901 (Plus) was released in Europe and Singapore.

Now that we refreshed your memories for this rather obscure smartphone, we have some good news. The South Korean model (the G906) is now getting Android Marshmallow update with lots of under the hood optimizations. If you own this model you should have an update waiting for you to accept.

The G901 model intended for EU markets and Singapore already got its Marshmallow treatment a week ago. In case you've missed the news, your G901 Galaxy S5 Plus should be ready to install Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS as well.
