Asus teases ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Deluxe, and ZenFone 3 Max ahead of May 30 unveiling

Asus has started teasing the three smartphones that it's going to make official at its grand event on May 30. The first teaser for the ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Deluxe, and ZenFone 3 Max comes in the form of a video that just barely shows us the profiles of the three handsets.

Then again, you can clearly see it's three different devices (even if the differences between the ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Deluxe are much more subtle than when you compare those two to the bigger ZenFone 3 Max).

You can also see the words "clarity", "desire", and "unlimited" spelled out in all caps for some reason. It shall all come together on May 30, when Asus promises we will "witness evolution becomes revolution", as the "Zenvolution is coming".

According to the company's CEO, the three smartphones will be in stores in June, and Asus expects the ZenFone Max to be the best selling of the group with about two thirds of shipments, whereas the ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Deluxe together should only make up a third of those. 90% of the ZenFone 3 units will be powered by Qualcomm chipsets, and 10% will go with MediaTek - so for the first time in the ZenFone line's history we'll see no models with Intel inside.

Sounds like the LG G5 is what you're really after. The Z3D won't cater for you if you want all G5 specs & features

Yea agree. Asus has poor aftermarket support for newer Android versions. They better release a boot unlocker ASAP so independent developers can develop leaner up-to-date ROMS, or at least delete the bloat of useless bundled apps.

I wish Asus did something like the LG G5, a nearly unibody design with a removable battery and the possibility of installing third party modules. That would be closer to my idea of a smartphone "revolution". Though of course G5 be the first modular c...
