Apple Pay adds more than 30 new supported banks and credit cards in the US

Thanks to Apple Pay, mobile payments have been made even more mainstream than they ever were. Ever since its launch a little over a year and a half ago. Since then, plenty of banks and credit companies have been added to support Apple Pay in the US.

Today, Apple has added more than 30 banks and credit unions to the existing list of supported payment methods handled through the NFC payment service. The list in the US totals 1,287 banks and credit unions.

The following banks and credit unions are now supported by Apple Pay in the US:

  • Acclaim Federal Credit Union
  • Boston Firefighters Credit Union
  • Catholic Vantage Credit Union
  • Clackamas County Bank
  • Costal Community Federal Credit Union
  • Commonwealth Community Bank
  • Cumberland Valley National Bank
  • Discovery Federal Credit Union
  • Easthampton Savings Bank
  • First Bank & Trust (IL & TX)
  • First Federal Lakewood
  • First National Bank of Carrollton
  • First National Bank of Fort Smith
  • First Security Bank & Trust
  • First State Bank of Wyoming
  • Home Bank
  • Members Credit Union
  • Nebraska State Bank
  • Origin Bank
  • Pegasus Bank
  • Sandia Area Federal Credit Union
  • Siouxland Federal Credit Union

These are numerous state-based banks. I'm glad for Americans that convenience is getting closer to their homes, provided that you are using an iPhone.
