Google's Search app could soon let you directly call, text, and email your Google Contacts

Himanshu, 13 June, 2016

Google is currently testing a new feature that lets users call, text, or email their Google Contacts directly from within the company's main Search app. The functionality was spotted by James Scott Jr, who also shared the following screenshot.

Currently, when you search for any of your Google contacts in the Search app, the app - aside from search suggestions of course - only presents a card, clicking on which opens the contact window. So the new feature - if at all it rolls out publicly - is clearly aimed at making things convenient.
