Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3 - metal-bodied Marshmallow on a budget

Asus adds a fourth member to the Zenfone 3 family, which slots into the entry-level segment. The Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3 shows a family resemblance, but is its own phone.

It has a metal unibody and a 5.2" screen with 2.5D curved glass on the front. The screen has 720p resolution, unlike the other three which are at 1080p. It does run Android 6.0 Marshmallow (skinned with ZenfUI 3.0) on an octa-core processor (1.3GHz) with 2GB or 3GB of RAM.

This is based on how much storage you get - 16GB with 2GB RAM or 32GB with 3GB. They cost CNY 1,300 ($200/€175) and CNY 1,500 ($230/€200) respectively. Those are the prices for China (where it will be available soon), elsewhere taxes and shipping will add a bit more.

For that kind of cash, you're getting a 13MP main camera (f/2.2) and a 5MP selfie camera (f/2.0). There's a fingerprint reader on the back and a large 4,100mAh battery inside.

The Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3 is a dual-SIM phone with LTE connectivity (including VoLTE calling).
