New phones of the week: OnePlus 3, Xiaomi Redmi 3s, Meizu m3s

The past week saw plenty of new announcements. First things first, the OnePlus 3 is finally official. Not a moment too soon, if we might add, as the avalanche of rumors was getting out of hand these last few weeks. The $399 flagship is out and as promised invite-free, so you can order one today. A 5.5-inch, FullHD Optic AMOLED display, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 64GB of storage and a whopping 6GB of RAM are just a few of the highlights the gorgeous metal device has to offer.

Moving on, we also have a couple of interesting new mid-range offers. One is the Redmi 3s from Xiaomi and the other is the m3s, courtesy of Meizu. And similarities don't finish with the naming. Both come with 5-inch, 720p displays, 2GB or 3GB of RAM with 16GB or 32GB of storage, similar octa-core SoC-s with four Cortex-A53 cores and a 13MP, plus 5MP camera setup.

Then there are two offers from LG. The LG X mach offers pretty decent specs, including a 5.5-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 650 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and a 12MP main camera. As for the LG X max, we currently only know that it will be bigger, but not sure by how much.

Last, but not least, Asus made headlines with the new Zenfone Pegasus 3 - a 5.2-inch, 720p mid-range offer, equipped with 2GB of 3GB of RAM and a quad-core CPU. And there is also the Asus ZenPad Z8 - an exclusive tablet offer for Verizon Wireless customers.
