Marshmallow update starts hitting Galaxy Tab A 8.0

Himanshu, 21 June, 2016

After the 9.7-inch variant, Samsung has now started rolling out the Marshmallow update to the Galaxy Tab A 8.0. Bringing Android 6.0, the update is currently hitting the Wi-Fi models of the tablet in Australia.

Weighing in at over 1GB, the update also includes several other changes. Here's the change-log:

  • Exercise greater control over app permissions
  • Purchase easily and securely with Fingerprint support
  • Experience enhanced battery-life through Doze
  • Redesigned App Drawer

Given the update has just started rolling out, it may take sometime before it hits your device. However, if you're feeling impatient, you can also manually check for it by heading to your tablet's Settings menu.
