Snapchat introduces Memories, a new way to save snaps and stories

Snapchat has introduced a new feature - dubbed Memories - that the company describes as a "personal collection of your favorite moments." It's a searchable archive that can be accessed by just swiping up from the app's Camera screen.

"You can use Memories to create new Stories from Snaps you’ve taken, or even combine different Stories into a longer narrative!" Snapchat says in a blog post. "It’s fun to celebrate an anniversary or birthday by finding a few old Snaps and stringing them together into a new Story :)"

If some of your snaps or stories are too personal, you can move them to My Eyes Only so that others can't see them, saving you from awkward moments. Keep in mind that any Memories you create will be backed up by Snapchat. The feature will be rolling out "over the next month or so."
