New devices of the week

First up, there is Samsung with a pair of new additions to the "J" series. The Korean giant has really been working hard at strengthening its mid-range portfolio. The Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) isn't exactly a fresh newcomer as with its 5-inch,720p Super AMOLED display, Spreadtrum SoC, 1.5GB of RAM and camera setup, it almost identical to the Galaxy J3 (2016). Yet, the J2 (2016) keeps things interesting by debuting Smart Glow notifications, likely to transfer over to other parts of the company lineup.

Then there is the Galaxy J Max. Yes, like its name suggests, it is a super-sized member of the value family - at 7-inches it's more a tablet than a phone. That being said, it has dual SIM slots and full telephony support.

Moving on, we have two new mid-range handsets from LG. The Korean manufacturer has really been focusing hard on this market segment lately. First were the LG X max and X mach and now they are joined by the X5 and X Skin, both offering slightly lower=grades specs with quad-core chips and 720p displays.

Last, but not least, is the new ZTE nubia N1. It is an interesting offer with a 5.5-inch FullHD LCD, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and a MediaTek Helio P10 SoC, all powered by a hefty 5000 mAh battery.
