Kyocera Hydro Shore is a waterproof smartphone that costs just $80

Kyocera has launched a new budget smartphone. Dubbed Hydro Shore, it's a waterproof device with IP57 certification, meaning it can withstand immersion for up to 30 minutes in up to 3.28 feet (1 meter) of water.

In addition, you can use the screen (take calls, check messages, and operate apps) even when it's wet.

Specs-wise, the handset is powered by Snapdragon 210 chipset with Quad-core 1.1GHz processor, and sports a 5.0-inch qHD display. It comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB expandable memory, and packs in a 2,160mAh battery.

In terms of camera, the Hydro Shore features a 5MP rear unit and a 2MP front shooter. Measuring 139 x 72.1 x 9.9mm and weighing in at 141g, the phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. It carries a price tag of $80, and is available for purchase through Walmart.
