BLU teases Pure XR with 4GB of RAM coming on August 29 for $299

BLU Products is getting ready to announce its next flagship Android smartphone. This will be called BLU Pure XR and is set to become official on August 29. Today the company has started teasing the upcoming device, posting the image you can see to the left on its official Facebook page.

As you have certainly noticed, the Pure XR will be affordably priced at $299 unlocked despite supposedly having flagship status in BLU's portfolio when it launches. This is no surprise, though, as BLU is known for its reasonably priced handsets.

The Pure XR will have 4GB of RAM and its front is depicted in the teaser (with a fingerprint scanner probably embedded in that physical home button), but other than that we don't actually know anything about it. At least not from BLU.

However, from the front the Pure XR looks a whole lot like the Gionee S8, and BLU's gone the route of rebadging Gionee devices before (case in point - check out the differences between the BLU Energy XL and the Gionee Marathon M5 Plus, or rather, the lack thereof). So such a move would not be out of the question.

If this is the case then expect the BLU Pure XR to pack a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED touchscreen, a 16 MP f/1.8 rear camera with phase detection and laser autofocus and LED flash, an 8 MP selfie snapper, MediaTek's Helio P10 chipset at the helm, 64GB of expandable storage, a 3,000 mAh battery, and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on board. But that's just our guess, so don't take these specs for granted yet.

Anyway, if you're interested in the Pure XR and want to have the chance to win one, make sure you head to the Source link below and then click the link in that Facebook post in order to leave your email and participate in the draw. You'll also receive more details about the phone when it launches.

I was hoping for a Pure XL-2. The Pure XR is not it, though it has some feature I would like to see on an XL-2, such as USB type C port, 4GB RAM, and Android 6 Marshmallow.

I dont think so. The specs you mentioned are (almost) the same (or less) than the BLU PURE XL their last flagship phablet. So why will they go back in specs?

Finally a non-China junk manufacturer and is actually based headquarters in US. I'll keep an eye on this.
