Pebble announces Pebble 2 and Pebble 2 SE
Pebble has announced the successor to its once popular (for a lack of choice) smartwatch, the Pebble 2. There are two versions of it, the Pebble 2 and the Pebble 2 SE.
The Pebble 2 is the more expensive model and includes a heart rate monitor. It also tracks your movements and your sleep, and all of this information can then be tracked using the Apple Health or Google Fit apps. It includes a microphone so you can use dictation to reply to messages, even on iOS. It also does other smartwatch things, such as showing your notifications, letting you interact with a sizable library of apps, control your music, and more. The Pebble 2 is water resistant up to 30m so you can go swimming with it. It uses an ePaper display, which gives it the amazing 7 day battery life that the original Pebble was known for. The 22mm bands are also user replaceable.
The Pebble 2 SE is pretty much identical to the Pebble 2 but lacks a heart rate monitor and is thus a bit cheaper.
The Pebble 2 is priced at $129.99 and the Pebble 2 SE at $99.99. The Pebble 2 is available for pre-order in five different colors from Pebble's website and the Pebble 2 SE will be available in Jet Black starting next month.
