Twelve South Fermata is a stand for your wireless headphones

Prasad, 04 November 2016

Wireless headphones are great, they really are. But one of the hassles of owning a pair of wireless headphones is having to charge them. Ideally you would want them to be charging whenever you are not using them but that just means additional cable clutter on your desk. This is where the Fermata comes in, a headphone stand from accessory maker Twelve South that is designed specifically for wireless headphones.

While at the outset the Fermata might look like a standard headphone stand, it includes a charging cable that neatly plugs into the bottom of your wireless headphones while they placed on the stand. The cable uses a reversible microUSB connector, so you can just plug in the cable without looking.

Another neat feature is that the stand has a USB port so you can also plug in your phone into it and charge your headphones and your phone at the same time. Apart from that, the Fermata is a solid metal stand with a 2m charging cable and a contoured leather pad at the top to protect your headphones.

The Twelve South Fermata is priced at $79.99, which is a good investment if you have a pair of expensive wireless headphones and you want a clutter free desk.

True. There are lots of cheap as chips ways to have a clutter free desk.

Looks like a match for my just yesterday ordered pair - the Sony xb650bt. But then it will be only idiotic to spend $80 on just a stand for a pair bought only for $90 :P
