Microsoft has announced that its HoloLens augmented reality headset - which has only been available in the US and Canada so far - is now also available for purchase in Australia, Ireland, France, Germany, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

Both Development Edition as well as Commercial Suite are now on sale in these new markets.

The announcement came in the form of an email that the Redmond, Washington-based company sent out to customers today. The email also revealed that the device is currently up for pre-order in Japan, with shipments scheduled for next month.
