ZTE Blade X Max leaks on its way to Cricket

Vlad, 26 April 2017

Cricket is getting ready to launch a new ZTE smartphone. It's called Blade X Max and details about its specs have leaked today alongside the image you can see to the left.

Interestingly, this is the third 6-inch ZTE handset that we've talked about in the past couple of days. That has to be a record of some sort.

While the Blade X Max is similar in some ways to the Max XL that was unveiled by Sprint and its prepaid brands yesterday, it's not identical. And it shares even fewer features with the Blade Max 3 that's been launched by US Cellular. It is, however, pretty clear that all three of these devices have been built with the same idea in mind: affordability.

The ZTE Blade X Max has 1080p resolution for its 6" screen, and it's powered by the Snapdragon 435 chipset. It has 2GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, and a 3,400 mAh battery. A 13 MP camera sits on the rear, while selfies are dealt with by a 5 MP shooter. The phone has a USB Type-C port and support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat.

Pricing and release details haven't been shared, but we assume the official unveiling is imminent at this point.
