vivo has launched a new smartphone in the Indian market, the V5s. The phone is priced at INR 18,990 ($296) and can be pre-ordered on Flipkart.

The vivo V5s has a 5.5-inch 720p IPS display and a MediaTek MT6750 chipset with 4GB of RAM. It only has a 13 megapixel rear camera, but a 20 megapixel front one with flash, suggesting that selfies are its forte.

The smartphone comes with 64GB of storage, fingerprint sensor and a 3000mAh battery. It runs on Android 6.0 skinned with the company's own Funtouch OS 3.0 launcher.

The phone will be available in Rose Gold and Matte Black online as well as in retail outlets.
