Samsung Pay expands to UAE and Sweden

Himanshu, 27 April 2017

Samsung has launched its mobile payments service Samsung Pay in Sweden and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), making them the first Nordic and Middle Eastern countries on the eligible list.

Samsung Pay started testing in Sweden last month, while early access was launched in UAE earlier this month. Having graduated in both markets, the number of countries where the service is available in full is now at 14.

Meanwhile Samsung started its early access program in Hong Kong and Switzerland, so expect to hear more about those two in a month or so.

Works well with my Bank but would be good if they covered all banks and credit unions in Australia.
