Fix for Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ red tint issue now rolling out in India

After South Korea and Europe, Samsung has now started rolling out the Galaxy S8/S8+ red tint issue fix in India as well. Weighing in at around 426MB, the update arrives as firmware version XXU1AQDG.

Both S8 as well as the Plus variant are getting the update. It's worth mentioning that the flagships aren't yet on sale in India - they'll will be available for purchase starting May 5, although pre-orders are currently live.

Well i am one who pre-ordered the S8+ from reliance digital and they asked me to come collect it right now! Its shipping early guys!!

I mean, why do you make it sound like Apple is responsible for this Galaxy S8 red tint issue? Did they supply the screens to Samsung? The software? How can Apple have anything to do with it? Did they enter the Samsung factory and manipulated the scre...

I thought Samsung just mentioned not long ago that the red tint is the nature of AMOLED. So now This nature of AMOLED can be fixed with a software update...?
