ZTE nubia Z17 live video reveals IP67 certification

Yordan, 18 May 2017

ZTE announced the nubia Z17 mini but everyone is expecting the more powerful nubia Z17. Leaks already suggested the phone will have Snapdragon 835 chipset and runs Android 7.1.1 OS but a video revealed this would be the first nubia Z-series that will have IP67 certification for water and dust resistance.

The 15-second clip shows a smartphone with the ZTE nubia customary red circle for a home button. It is soaking in water in a sink, while a video is playing on the display. After some time a hand moves the device to show you that no air bubbles are coming out of it.

ZTE haven’t produced nubia devices with IP67 certification, so we are quite sure this isn’t an old device, trying to pass as the nubia Z17.

The short video also reveals the nubia Z17 will keep the bezel-less design from its predecessor the nubia Z11.

According to previous leaks, the phone will have 6 GB of RAM but other leaks suggested even mightier version is on board - an 8 GB RAM option with 128 GB internal storage.
