Sony Xperia XZ Premium and XA1 Ultra will go on pre-order in the US in two weeks

Peter, 31 May 2017

Patience pays off - after EU and Korean pre-orders, Americans are next in line to get a Sony Xperia XZ Premium. At least those with $800 to spare.

Amazon, Best Buy, Fry’s and other retailers will offer the Sony flagship (but no carriers, for now). You'll be able to pre-order on June 12 and the phone will be shipped a week later on June 19. You should be familiar with the specs that make the XZ Premium unique (if not, read our review), but do keep in mind that the fingerprint reader will be disabled.

Also on June 12, pre-orders for the plus-sized photography buff, the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra, will begin. Pre-orders will ship out on June 21, regular sales commence later on July 2. We’ll be publishing a review for that one soon, for now check out some high-quality selfies from the optically-stabilized 16MP front camera.

By the way, the Xperia Touch projector, a battery-powered, Android-running pico projector will also on pre-order (on June 16). There’s a catch, though, two in fact - first, it costs $1,700, second, it will only be available at Sony Square in New York.

And thus is a typical response in a Sony page. With fanatics that at times are some how worse than apple ones
