HTC 10 and Motorola Droid Turbo 2 getting security updates

Himanshu, 06 June 2017

A couple of smartphones - the HTC 10 and Motorola Droid Turbo 2 - have started receiving new updates in the US. While for the former, the update brings security fixes for the month of May, the change-log for the latter only says "most up to date Android security patches."

The HTC 10 update weighs in at around 250MB and arrives as version 2.48.617.11, while that for the Droid Turbo 2 arrives as software version 25.201.6.kinzie_verizon.verizon.en.US.

Aside from security patch, nothing else seems to be included in the updates. As is usually the case with OTA roll outs, it might take time for the update to hit your device. You can manually check for the update by heading to your handset's Settings menu.
