Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ on Sprint and T-Mobile getting new update

Himanshu, 08 June 2017

T-Mobile and Sprint have started pushing out a new update to Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ units on their networks. The T-Mobile update brings along May security patch, updated Bixby app, and improvements related to SD card stability.

Sadly, the Bixby-related change doesn't enable Bixby Voice - the update just adds shortcuts at the top of the screen for Bixby Vision and Reminders. The update for the Galaxy S8+ weighs in at around 375MB.

There isn't much known about the Sprint update, but we expect it to be similar to the one being rolled out by the magenta carrier.
