ZTE Axon 7 Mini receives Android 7.1.1, brings Wi-Fi calling on T-Mobile

Enrique, 21 June 2017

Those of you using the Axon 7 Mini know that the Nougat update has already been available on the Axon 7 since around March. That’s about to change today, which is when the “Mini” version of the Axon 7 will be getting Android Nougat 7.1.1 for all markets.

The update brings Nougat’s enhancements, which should help to improve the Axon 7’s mid-range Snapdragon 617 CPU performance and smoothness, as well as Nougat’s battery optimizations. Also new on the Axon 7 Mini is multi-window, updated emojis, dual-language support, and new support for T-Mobile’s Wi-Fi calling.

To make sure you’re ready for the OTA update when it arrives, make sure the battery is charged to at least 30%. Then you can head to Settings > System Update to download the OTA. Just know that if you have a fingerprint set up, you’ll need to provide an alternative unlock method for securing your data.

After further searching on Google, it looks like it's for the US region for now... ...AGAIN! Europeans need to wait couple of weeks/even months... if we ever receive it ._.

"For all markets"... meaning we Europeans don't have to wait weeks/months? Usually we are the last ones to receive updates, especially from Chinese companies.

Battery at least. (For the ZTE Axon 7 mini owners).
