Protective cases allegedly leak the design of the Meizu Pro 7

Yordan, 29 June 2017

Meizu will be the next manufacturer to follow the dual camera trend with the upcoming Pro 7 flagship. According to the ever-growing amount of leaks, the phone is about to also have a small secondary screen below the camera setup. Latest renders from a case manufacturer reconfirm these rumors.

If we tend to believe the images, they reveal the complete design of the Meizu Pro 7. The phone will come with a home button on the front that doubles as a fingerprint camera. Above the display is a single camera, on the left of the speaker grill.

On the bottom we can see a speaker, USB charging port, and a 3.5 mm jack, along with a cutout for the microphone. The case also has a cutout on top for the secondary mic. The power key and the volume rocker are on the right side of the Pro 7.

It gets really interesting when we get to the back panel. There is a dual-camera setup, which will be a first for the Chinese company. A dual-LED is positioned on the left and below we can see a small secondary screen. It will be e-ink and not LCD, which means it will be limited to showing the clock, weather, and some notifications.

According to sources, the secondary screen solution is a response to all the Meizu fans who said the company lacks creativity in product design.

Yes, the secondary screen is real and it's colored, too unlike the one from Yota Phone. My friend who works at Meizu showed me a video of a working unit. Great for rear camera selfies :)
