Android Wear 2.0 finally arrives on the Asus Zenwatch 3, for real this time

Vlad, 12 July 2017

The saga of the Android Wear 2.0 update is still not concluded, but we are slowly getting closer to that point. Today the update to the latest version of Google's smartwatch OS has finally begun to make its way to Asus' Zenwatch 3.

This time it's for real, too - unlike the false start back in May. Owners of the watch are starting to confirm getting the new software, around five months after Android Wear 2.0 was first supposed to go out to supported devices.

Better late than never? We'll let you be the judge of that. Anyway, according to some lucky people who are already running Android Wear 2.0 on their Zenwatch 3 units, following the update you'll be able to remove all the built-in Asus software from the wearable if you so desire. Additionally, battery life seems to have improved.

Whats gonna be the expected price hit ? A friend says its gonna be around $220 or little bit lower. Looks like a hit to me.

5 months are a bit too long, but yes, better late than never, at least.
