Samsung's next wearable to be smartwatch/fitness tracker hybrid

Himanshu, 02 August 2017

Samsung has revealed some vital details related to its next wearable device. The revelation was made as part of a survey the company sent out to the members of its SmartLab Plus program.

The upcoming wearable is likely to be a smartwatch/fitness tracker hybrid as the South Korean clearly says the "concept takes best bits from Gear S3 and Gear Fit 2."

The device will have a smaller body and thinner straps (which will be replaceable), as well as will be waterproof in the sense that you can use it during your swimming activities. Other features include activity tracking, weight management, active sports, and coaching.

The device will also issue alerts, asking you to stay active when on a flight and take breaks while driving. The tech giant says the wearable is designed in a way that it can be used all day - from workplace to gym.
