ZTE Blade Z Max announced with 6” display and dual camera setup

Yordan, 14 August 2017

The mysterious ZTE Z982 device that appeared on GFXBench last week got its official release today under the name ZTE Blade Z Max. It is an update of the Blade X Max with dual cameras on the back. Other highlights are the 6” screen with Full HD resolution and the very low off-contract price.

The Blade Z Max runs a Snapdragon 435 chipset. It is paired with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB storage, but there is also a microSD slot for up to 128 GB more. The dual camera setup is 16 MP + 2 MP to provide a bokeh effect and has some neat features like time-lapse, panorama mode and a manual mode. The front camera is 8 MP with smoothing beauty mode.

The back of the Blade Z Max is also occupied by the fingerprint scanner. The battery capacity is 4,080 mAh and can be charged through the USB-C connector.

The phone should come as a replacement of the last year's ZTE Zmax Pro. Its price is $129 and will start shipping through MetroPCS on August 26. If you pre-register for the device, you will get a $25 Google Play gift card that can be redeemed after purchase.
