Vivo announces Y69 with 5.5-inch HD display and MediaTek processor

Prasad, 25 August 2017

Vivo has launched the Vivo Y69 smartphone in India. It is priced at INR 14,990 ($234) and will be available across online and offline retail outlets starting September 1.

The Y69 has a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280x720, rather low for this price range. Even more disappointingly, it is powered by a MediaTek MT6570 processor. You do get 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage that can be expanded with microSD.

On the back of the phone is a 13 megapixel camera but the front gets a 16 megapixel sensor with Vivo's Moonlight Selfie camera flash that provides a soft glow. Powering the whole thing is a 3000mAh battery and Funtouch OS 3.2 software on top of Android 7.0 Nougat.

The Y69 will be available in Champagne Gold and Matte Black.
