Xiaomi publishes Mi Note 3 and Mi Mix 2 camera samples

Xiaomi just unveiled the Mi Note 3 and Mi Mix 2. The cameras of both are based on the Mi 6 camera, but the Note 3 has the full setup while the Mix 2 has only one of the modules.

The dual camera features 12MP + 12MP modules and shoots portraits with bokeh. The camera also promises 2x optical zoom and OIS. Check out these official samples (note that they have been scaled down to 2MP).

Xiaomi Mi Note 3 camera samples

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 has a single cam, which is the main module of the Mi 6 - it has the same 12MP sensor (IMX386) and OIS, which will improve low-light photography. Compared to the original Mix (which only had EIS), the new one has 1.25µm vs. 1µm pixels.

Ok, after my last comment, I just checked the Oppo R11 review (SD 660) and the Galaxy S7 (SD820) review. In short, Snapdragon 660 is faster than Snapdragon 810, and comes very close to Snapdragon 820, its almost flagship grade... So, the SD660...

From what I think, Xiaomi is now focusing on Mass usage of similar components and that is killing their individual product focus. Look at Snapdragon 625, its so widely used in their range, that it must be renamed Xiao-dragon 625. Now, look at this ...

Why does Xiaomi downsizing the screen from former MI note 2 and uses a midrange chipset (SD660) instead of a flagship chipset as was used in the former MI2. Why does a hi end series phone has a midrange chipset inside it? This is DISTURBING!
