Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL pre-orders now shipping, both available in-store at Verizon on Thursday

Some people in the US who have pre-ordered Google's Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL have received shipping notifications today, with deliveries expected tomorrow or on Thursday. Not all pre-orders have been shipped, but if you were among the first to finalize the process back when the devices were announced earlier this month, there's a good chance that your Pixel 2 or 2 XL is on the way too.

If you didn't get any of the first batch (especially of the 'panda' black and white Pixel 2 XL, which seems to have been the hardest to buy), then you'll likely have to wait some more.

If you haven't pre-ordered but decided you need a Pixel 2 or 2 XL in your life, you can simply head to your friendly neighborhood Verizon store on Thursday, since that's when the carrier will have both phones available to buy on the spot. That said, you may not find all of the different versions in every single Big Red retail location, keep that in mind.

Google will also be selling the new Pixels at its pop-up stores in New York City and Los Angeles from Thursday on. Regardless of where you buy from, the Pixel 2 costs $649.99 (64GB) or $749.99 (128GB), while the XL model goes for $849.99 (64GB) or $949.99 (128GB).

After seeing the 2 XL screen reviews, I cancelled my order and got an original Pixel XL.

Yeah, hopefully it is/will be...

Haha well done then (HAHA).
