Samsung Galaxy Note8 strong demand continues in South Korea

The Galaxy Note8 smashed pre-order recordsand it's maintaining strong momentum in the weeks after the launch. According to industry data, the 64 GB version is the most-sold phone in South Korea for the second week of October with 28.3%. If the 256 GB version adds up, the percentage goes even higher.

ATLAS Research & Consulting said after the initial pre-ordered 850,000 units, Samsung kept selling 20,000 to 30,000 units of the Galaxy Note8 in the fourth week of September.

In October, Samsung keeps selling around 10,000 - 20,000 units per day and industry insiders shared that the numbers are similar to the first half of the year when the Galaxy S8 was launched.

Industry tracker Strategy Analytics said that at this rate Samsung will have no trouble reaching 10 million units by the end of 2017
