Xiaomi Mi 5X gets Red special edition in China

The Xiaomi Mi A1 (aka Mi 5X) got a fresh coat of paint – red paint. That’s in addition to the launch colors of Black, Gold and Rose Gold.

Sales – both online and offline – will start on November 1 and price remains the same, CNY 1,500. This is a special edition for China where red is a symbol of good luck. It's hard to tell how long supplies will last.

If you’re not in China, this might not be your lucky red, though. There’s no sign of this model on the international Xiaomi’s site. Note that the Chinese version – the Mi 5X – runs MIUI instead of Android One.
