OnePlus 5 Oreo update roll out has been cancelled
The OnePlus 3/3T Oreo update was pulled by the company following user complaints, and it's sad to see that Oreo roll out for the OnePlus 5 has also met the same fate. Yes, the Chinese company has provided a heads-up saying the roll out has been canceled.
Here's what exactly a OnePlus staff member said on the company's official forums:
Because of a bug on Oxygen 5.0, we have cancelled its global release. And we're preparing for Oxygen 5.0.1, the partial release will go alive soon.
So yeah, while the company did concede there's a bug that prompted them to cancel the roll out, there's no information on what exactly the problem is. However, what's good is that Oxygen 5.0.1 is promised to be made available soon.
