Android 8.0 Oreo starts hitting HTC 10

Himanshu, 12 January 2018

HTC has started pushing out a new update to its 10 smartphone. Arriving as software version 3.16.617.2, it's a major update that brings along Android 8.0 Oreo OS. OTA roll out has already begun, although you can also download the 1.8GB RUU if you can't wait anymore.

It was back in August when the Taiwanese company confirmed that the HTC 10, U11, and U Ultra will be getting Oreo. Of those, the U11 Oreo update started rolling out in November. And now, the HTC 10 has also started getting it. It's worth mentioning that the update is currently hitting the unlocked units of the phone in the US.
