Amazon Echo and Music Unlimited coming to Australia and New Zealand

Amazon is expanding its smart assistant lineup to two new markets. Amazon customers in Australia and New Zealand can take advantage of Amazon’s virtual assistant starting February 1.

Today, customers in these markets can pre-order three different Echo devices. The Echo, Echo Dot, and the Echo Plus. Smart hardware will arrive to customers starting on the above date.

In order to complete the Echo experience, Amazon is also launching its Music Unlimited service so you can ask Alexa to play music for you from its own streaming service, or from other streaming services like Tune In, Spotify, and Pandora.

The Music Unlimited service will be going for AUD 4.99 per month for a single echo device, AUD 11.99 per month for a regular individual account, and AUD 17.99 per month.
