Motorola's newest Style Shells are made out of Gorilla Glass

Prasad, 01 February 2018

Motorola has launched five new Style Shells that are made out of a combination of Gorilla Glass 5 and polycarbonate. These can be mounted on the back of any of the Motorola devices that supports Moto Mods.

The new Style Shells come in five patterns, Retro Stripe, Overlapping Triangles, Graphic Flowers, Expressive Curves, and Colored Leaves. These new glass variants join the existing wood and nylon options.

Being made out of glass does make them bit more fragile than the other Style Shells, but Gorilla Glass 5 is known to be more rigid than previous iterations and it's likely that the shell will just pop off the phone if it falls rather than breaking.

The glass Style Shells are priced at $29.99, a small premium over the wood and nylon options that cost $19.99.
