Huawei MateBook X Pro with 3K multi-touch FullView display announced

Paul, 25 February 2018

Today at Mobile World Congress Huawei the 13.9-inch HUAWEI MateBook X Pro features a 3K 10-point touch screen and a FullView display with a 91% screen-to-body ratio and 4.4mm narrow bezels.

With no room for the camera in the screen bezels, Huawei innovatively placed the camera under the F5 key, while also alleviating users with privacy concerns.

The aforementioned screen is a 3K, with 3000×2000 resolution, 100% sRGB color gamut, 450 nits brightness and 1500:1 contrast ratio packed into a body that is 14.6mm thin and weighing 1.33kg, and is available in two colors: Space Gray and Mystic Silver.

In Huawei's tests, its 57.4Wh battery ensures the HUAWEI MateBook X Pro enables 12-hour video playback (1080P), 14-hour office work or 15-hour web browsing. Its USB-C Power Adapter 65W eliminates the need to carry multiple adapters for your various notebooks, tablets and handsets.

Power comes courtesy of the 8th Generation Intel® CoreTM i7-8550U processor. Also, the HUAWEI MateBook X Pro includes a high-speed NVMe PCIe SSD that increases read speed up to 3000MB/s and options of 8GB and 16GB of memory.

The HUAWEI MateBook X Pro is equipped with two USB-C ports, 1 USB-A port and 1 headphone jack. Both USB-C ports support data transfer, charging and connection with HUAWEI MateDock 2, one of which can connect with ThunderboltTM 3.

Huawei collaborated with Dolby on a powerful quad-speaker system featuring the Dolby ATMOS® Sound System to provide consumers with an immersive sound experience.

For close to $2000 you might as well get a real MacBook Pro and install Windows 10 on it and have the best of both worlds.
