Ticwatch E and S Android Wear watches now available in Europe at £120/£150

Mobvoi’s Ticwatch S and E smartwatches are now available in Europe. The letters stand for “Sport” and “Express” respectively and the designs have already won awards – an iF Product Design award for the S and Good Design Award for the E.

Anyway, the straps are the major difference between the two. The Ticwatch S has a GPS antenna built into the breathable wrist strap for superior reception. The watch also has a sporty bezel with minute markings.

The Ticwatch E also has a built-in GPS receiver, though its antenna is in the 44mm case (1mm smaller than the S). The upside is that you can easily swap the wrist straps.

Both watches run Android Wear OS and have a 1.4” OLED display with 400x400px resolution (287ppi). They are powered by a MediaTek MT2601 chipset with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage. This storage can be used with Spotify and Google Play Music.

There’s a heart rate monitor on board as well. The case is water resistant (IP67), though not swim-proof. You can expect two days of battery life out of the 300mAh battery.

Does Spotify know about that storage feature? Because right now you can only controll your Spotify app on phone but there is no standalone app for AW (Wear OS)
