HMD to unveil Nokia X6 on Friday, a mid-range model with a 19:9 screen

So, the Nokia X will not be a flagship – and won’t be called the Nokia X. The 10W charger gave us a clue but now pricing information has surfaced for the device. There will be two models costing CNY 1,600 and CNY 1,800. That’s $250/210€ and $285/€235 respectively.

What HMD is planning on launching is reportedly the Nokia X6 (no, not this one) and it will sit between the Nokia 6 (2018) and the Nokia 7 plus.

The Nokia X6 is said to have a 5.8-inch “bezel-free display” with a 19:9 aspect ratio (the 7 plus has an 18:9 screen). There will be a vertical dual camera on the back with Carl Zeiss lens.

The two versions will differ by chipset and RAM. The top model will use Snapdragon 636 and will come with 6 GB of RAM, the more affordable model will use Helio P60 with 4 GB of RAM. Both will launch with Android 8.0 Oreo.

PS. looking at the chipset selection, the P60 has four Cortex-A73 cores + four A53 ones. The Snapdragon uses Kryo 260 CPU, which are semi-custom versions of the A53. The GPU fight might go in favor of the Adreno, though. Here are some quick benchmarks comparing the Redmi Note 5 Pro (S636) and the Oppo R15 (P60).
