Sino: Oppo is the market leader in China for Q1 2018

Market research company Sino just announced the Q1 2018 results in China. The leader among all brands was Oppo with 18.52 million shipments, while vivo is sitting at the second place with 17.34 million units. Apple was third with 16.8 million, while Huawei and Honor were listed separately, shipping around 14 million each.

Chinese manufacturers are dominant in their local market, with Apple and Samsung being the only two from outside the country among the Top 10 vendors. Looking at income from sales, however, Apple is massively ahead of its competitors, raking in almost as much revenue as the next three companies combined.

Sources also revealed the online sales in China - Honor surpassed Xiaomi by selling 6.29 million phones over the web for the first three months of 2018. The income was almost CNY9 billion, ranking the company first among domestic brands.
